Congregation Beth Shalom in Corona, California has sent Mel Gibson a letter in hopes of guilting him into forking over some cash to bail them out of a bad investment they made on their local synagogue. Apparently, the group took out a giant loan that they can’t afford to pay back and are now facing foreclosure.

In a move reminiscent of something out of post-war Germany, the Southern California synagogue is looking to Gibson as though he should pay some kind of “Holocaust” style reparations for the so-called anti-Semitic tirade he made back in 2006. 

I guess it’s not enough that Mel has already spent millions of dollars contributing to Jewish charities, including $5 million to the Jewish Cedars Sinai Hospital. Not to mention getting down on his knees and apologizing to the Jewish community on numerous occassions—only to have his career railroaded anyway.

Entertainment website TMZ apparently got their hands on the letter. Here’s what it says:

“Our proposal to you, Mr. Gibson, is since you have been cited as an Anti-Semitic, and have denied those allegations, what better way to prove to all your fans and the nay Sayers — than to endorse and help raise funds for our cause — SOS, Save Our Synagogue…“Mr. Gibson, we offer you to be a Mensch and make a sizable contribution to our cause.”

That’s what you call CHUTZPAH, folks!

    The New Year kicked off with the highest January gas prices in history, due in large part to the tensions between the U.S. and Iran. According to the American Automobile Association (AAA), the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in the United States is roughly $3.38, nearly 30 cents higher than a year ago. It’s bound to get worse. This week, Bloomberg reported that oil was trading “near $100 in New York on concerns that Iran may respond to a European embargo on its crude exports by following through on threats to disrupt Persian Gulf shipping.”
    The oil market is largely driven by headlines, and soars every time the West shakes their fist at one of Israel’s enemies. That not only drives up the price you pay at the pump for a gallon of gasoline, but also affects the cost of every product and service that travels by way of land, air or sea.
    Sure, there are other factors that play into the price of oil—demand, speculation, taxes, environmental regulations, refinery capabilities, etc., etc. But for at least the last twenty years, war (and rumors of war) have been the major driving force.
    On February 19, 2008, former (and I might add deceased) Representative John Murtha (D-PA) stated, “Oil was $27 per barrel before the war in Iraq started. Today it’s $86 a barrel. Gas at the pump was $1.76 per gallon before the war in Iraq. Today it’s $3.02.”
    Of course the Iraq war—just like the one we’re now starting with Iran—would not have been waged had it not been for Israel, who’s had their crosshairs trained on both Muslim nations for many years. In 1996, Israeli dual citizens Douglas Feith and Richard Perle were both advisors to Israel’s Likud Party leader Benjamin Netanyahu. During that time, the duo co-authored a policy paper, entitled A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm. In it, they said that Saddam would have to be destroyed, and that Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Iran would all have to be overthrown or destabilized in order for Israel to be truly safe. Feith would later become the U.S. Under Secretary of Defense of Policy for the Bush administration. It was through Feith’s Office of Special Plans (OSP) that the Israelis channelled faulty intelligence about Saddam’s so-called “Weapons of Mass Destruction.” These lies led the U.S. Congress to enact the Iraq War Resolution of 2002, which gave George W. Bush carte blanche to wage a bloody conflict that has since claimed the lives of over one million Iraqis and nearly 5,000 American troops.
    Now, new lies about Iran’s so-called “nuclear weapons program” are fueling that war, and Syria is also under attack based on lies that Assad is killing his own people. As for Lebanon and Saudi Arabia? It’s only a matter of time, baby!
    For decades, Israel has largely been responsible for the rise in petroleum prices. Writing for The Washington Report on Middle East Affairs in 2003, Dr. Thomas R. Stauffer concluded that conflicts in the Middle East have cost the American taxpayer approximately $3 trillion. According to Stauffer, “The largest single element in the costs has been the series of six oil-supply crises since the end of World War II.”
    He goes on to say that, “the several earlier Mideast oil crises, in 1956 and 1967, actually had relatively little effect on the United States,” and it wouldn’t be until the Arab-Israeli War of 1973 that things would start spiraling out of control. That’s when the U.S. forked out almost $1 trillion dollars to supply Israel with arms and provide subsidies to countries willing to sign peace treaties with them, such as Egypt and Jordan. Stauffer writes, “Washington’s intervention triggered the Arab oil embargo which cost the U.S. doubly: first, due to the oil shortfall, the US lost about $300 billion to $600 billion in GDP; and, second, the U.S. was saddled with another $450 billion in higher oil import costs.”
    A third factor added to the oil-related cost of the 1973 war was the U.S. created Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR), which was designed to insulate Israel and the U.S. against the wielding of a future Arab “oil weapon.” Stauffer writes, “It was destined to contain one billion barrels of oil, which could be released in the event of a supply crisis. To date the SPR, which still exists and is slowly being expanded, has cost $134 billion—since much of the oil was bought at high prices, and because the salvage value is relatively low. Thus, the 1973 oil crisis, all in all, cost the U.S. economy no less than $900 billion, and probably as much as $1,200 billion.”
    The next regional oil crisis was the Iranian revolution and the subsequent Iran-Iraq war. “The joint effect of the two crises cost the U.S. consumer $335 billion in terms of higher prices for imported oil,” writes Stauffer. “It also caused a rise in prices of domestic energy—oil, gas, and coal. These “knock-on” effects are not included, however, so that the figure of $335 billion is indeed a lower bound for the actual costs of those two, back-to-back crises. The total consumer cost is likely to have been more than double that figure.”
    Stauffer concludes by referencing the 1990/91 Gulf war, which he said proved to be a bargain in comparison to other regional conflicts, costing “American consumers approximately $80 billion in higher oil prices, including both imported and domestic oil, again excluding the resulting “knock-on” effects.”
    I guess that brings us up to date. So what does the future have in store for oil prices in the event that the U.S. and Israel continue to push Iran to the brink to ruin? Writing for 24/7 Wall Street, Douglas A. McIntyre reports, “The International Monetary Fund says the nations that would set sanctions against Iran’s oil exports will pay for their convictions with crude prices that could rise as much as 30%. Brent crude would be pushed to more than $140 a barrel. The shock of the increase could knock the global economic recovery, such as it is, off of its axis.”
    And in November 2011, the Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO)—the world’s largest bond investor—released a report that offers four possible scenarios that might likely occur if Iran’s energy sector is compromised:

Scenario 1: Exports minimally affected. Concerns would drive initial price response. The International Energy Agency (IEA) would likely make statements about willingness to meet any shortfall in supplies. Oil could spike initially to $130 to $140 per barrel and then settle in a higher range, around $120 to $125, in relatively short order as a premium (mostly a risk premium) becomes embedding into the market, at least for a while. The timing of the spike would depend on how much the market is taken by surprise and whether or not the strike is priced in ahead of time.

Scenario 2: Iranian exports cut off for one month. IEA would likely swing into action and Saudi Arabia could begin to offer more oil into market. In this case, we would expect prices could reach previous all-time highs of $145/bbl or even higher depending on issues with shipping. The IEA and Saudi Arabia can meet market needs, but the increase in uncertainty and the loss of spare capacity would affect pricing. In this case, after a few months, we would expect prices could fall back to $130 to $135/bbl range.

Scenario 3: Iranian exports are lost for half a year. This is where the potential outcomes get quite dicey. We think oil prices could probably rally and average $150 for the six months, with notable spikes above that level. The IEA would likely release oil steadily, but consumption will need to take a hit from prices and slower economic activity. Once Iranian crude oil returns to the market and the environment stabilizes, oil would likely return to around $110/bbl or even lower depending on global strength at the time.

Scenario 4: Greater loss of production from around the region, either through subsequent Iranian response or due to lack of ability to move oil through Straits of Hormuz. This is the Armageddon scenario in which oil prices could soar, significantly constraining global growth. Forecasting prices in the prior scenarios is dangerous enough. So, we won’t even begin to forecast a cap or target price in this final Doomsday scenario.

    No matter how you look at it, the U.S. consumer is destined for hard times if this dangerous game is allowed to continue.
    As for Israel—they’ll do just fine no matter what. While Americans painfully adjust to price increases brought on by $5 to $10 per gallon gasoline, the Israelis will find a negligible decrease in their standard of living. Thanks to a 1975 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the United States government is obligated to satisfy all of Israel’s oil needs in the event of crisis, even if it causes domestic shortages to the American people. This little known legislation is renewed every five years, and commits $3 billion taxpayer dollars to maintain a strategic U.S. reserve for Israel. The U.S. government also guarantees delivery of oil in U.S. tankers if commercial shippers become unable or unwilling to carry oil from the USA to Israel.
    Yeah, I know…Doesn’t that just SUCK!!!!!

Obama’s 8.5% is far removed from reality.

To get closer to the real number, we must consult the (U6) figure that is often touted as ‘true unemployment’. This figure adds into the equation those who fall under the contemporary definition of ‘discouraged worker’ and those who can only find ‘part-time’ work.

Today’s definition of a discouraged worker is one who has not found work within the last year. Prior to 1994, a discouraged worker was defined as one who had not found work within the last month. That’s a big discrepancy. If we add those lost souls back into the equation, we come up with a more realistic unemployment rate of right around 22.4%. That’s less than three clicks shy of the 25% often cited for the worst levels of the Great Depression in 1933. That 25% unemployment figure was reflective of all workers both on and off the farm.

Many economists, intent on disproving any comparison of today’s unemployment with that of the ‘Great Depression’, will often cite the non-farm unemployment figure of 34%. But it should be pointed out that during that time, 27% of America’s employed worked on the farm. Today that number is only 2%.

It’s just another example of government math. They really think we are this stupid:

Eric Dondero, the former Ron Paul aid who has been calling the Texas Congressman and Presidential candidate everything from a racist (at least he’s implied that he is) to a lunatic is—in fact—a racist and a lunatic!

In a January 3 posting on Loonwatch, a blogger who goes by the name of Danios writes, “Indeed, Dondero is a rabid Islamophobe and Sharia conspiracy theory nut.  He runs a blog LibertarianRepublican, which is replete with anti-Muslim postings.”  

Here are a few of Dondero’s posts: (expletives modified by me)

• NO YOU STUPID F***ING A**HOLE. MUSLIM IMMIGRANTS ARE THE PROBLEM.
• Are you an American or some f***ing Communist/Fascist piece of s**t sent to destroy us from within?
• Why do you defend the very people who KILLED 3,000 AMERICANS AND CHEERED ALL ACROSS THE MUSLIM WORLD AS IT HAPPENED?

Danios writes, “In the same thread, he argues to deport Muslims as “his solution” to “the problem.””

Here’s a couple more jems:

• Call me a dickhead if you wish. But I’m a DICKHEAD FOR LIBERTY.
• This is about an alien culture, coming into our AMERICA AND WESTERN EUROPE and invading us from within.

Dondero is also quoted in a December 21, 2011 article for Philadelphia Weekly. He’s upset that some Jewish leaders have sided with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) to decry a Pennsylvania bill prohibiting “the application of foreign law which would impair constitutional rights.”

Here’s an excerpt:

“My fellow Jews need to buck up,” says Eric Dondero, editor of Libertarian Republican.net, over the phone from Houston. “The big problem right now is Islam and Islamism invading our country. And if they want to continue to move in, we need to fight back. Their culture is coming here.”

“Dondero, a former staffer for Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul, has blogged extensively about what he calls “creeping Sharia Law” over the past several years. He says if you want to know what Sharia looks like in the United States, all you have to do is look at Europe, where he claims Muslim Europeans have “invaded” the countryside.”

“They’re invading Switzerland and a Swedish island called Malmo, where the Muslims are raping all the European and Swedish women,” he says, recalling that city’s reports of lawlessness between the Jewish, Muslim and Neo-Nazi populations. And he fears that if Sharia Law isn’t banned in all states the way it was banned in his, the U.S. is next.”

If Dondero is so worried about Muslim immigration, perhaps he should take Ron Paul’s advise on foreign policy. Muslims wouldn’t be coming here if we weren’t bombing the Hell out of their countries. Since the 1967 Six-Day War, Arab immigration into the United States has increased eleven fold. Most of those are Catholics. As far as Muslims are concerned, they represent no more than .06% of the American population. In Congress, there is only one state representitive—Keith Ellison from Minnesota. Relax, Eric. I don’t think Muslims are going to be marrying our grandchildren or knocking down our doors to slice our heads off (silly fantasies that most Islamophobes harbor)anytime soon.

Danios sums it up by saying, “Why on earth is anyone taking what this guy says seriously?  As a rabid Islamophobe, Eric Dondero has every reason to hate Ron Paul, who fired him long time ago (even before the 2008 election).  Dondero hates Ron Paul for the reasons that every Islamophobe does: (1) Ron Paul opposes Islamophobia against American Muslims; (2) he opposes the Bush-Obama curtailments of civil liberties that specifically target Muslims; and (3) he opposes America’s many wars in the Muslim world.”

Since Sept. 11, 2001, thousands of communities across the nation have taken advantage of more than $34 billion in central government grants to equip police and sheriffs’ departments with assault rifles and exotic weaponry.

In 2011 alone, approximately $2 billion in grants were awarded by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), along with $500 million more allocated to existing programs.

The accounting for this expense was recently compiled by the Center for Investigative Reporting and detailed in a report, “America’s War Within: Homeland security and the first 10 years of the war on terror.” After reviewing records from 41 states and interviewing over two dozen police officials and terrorism experts, researcher G.W. Schulz concludes that police departments “have transformed into small army-like forces.”

Federal grants are just one avenue police are using to get weaponry like armored vehicles, grenade launchers and M-16 assault rifles, suited to use on a battlefield. In fiscal year 2011, the Department of Defense gave away a record total of more than $500 million worth of military surplus to law enforcement through its little-known (to the public) “1033 program.”

“Passed by Congress in 1997, the 1033 program was created to provide law-enforcement agencies with tools to fight drugs and terrorism,” writes Benjamin Carlson in a recent article for The Daily. “Since then, more than 17,000 agencies have taken in $2.6 billion worth of equipment. . . paying only the cost of delivery.”

That trend is showing no signs of slowing, according to Carlson.

So why is the government supplying cops with these dangerous toys? The much-touted threat of terrorism is no justification. The National Safety Council notes: “You are eight times more likely to be killed by a police officer than by a terrorist.”

A crime wave can’t be blamed either. Since the early 1990s, the incidence of violent crime has steadily been on the decline, as more and more law-abiding citizens arm themselves. Violent crime peaked in 1991 at 758.2 per 100,000 people. In 2010, there was nearly half that number—403.6 per 100,000. The same can be said for officers killed in the line of fire. The number of deaths peaked in 1980, at 104 per 100,000, compared to a low of 50 per 100,000 in 2010.

The real reason these lavish gifts are being provided is that it makes police chiefs and sheriffs more accountable to the federal government than to their own states and local communities. Those agencies may soon be called upon to integrate with federal troops—who may soon be allowed to patrol U.S. streets, pursuant to the passage of the so-called National Defense Authorization Act.

There is also a growing effort by the drone or unmanned aerial vehicle industry to market its products to local law enforcement. In their 2011 annual report, General Atomics (GA), the nation’s leading manufacturer of Predator drones, made it clear their future growth depends upon pursuing new applications that will help create opportunities “beyond the military market.” Meanwhile, GA spent in excess of $2 million last year lobbying Congress on behalf of defense appropriations bills and larger DHS budgets.

Though normal American manufacturing and production is at an all-time low, the defense industry is booming. According to the Homeland Security Research Corp., “The homeland security market for state and local agencies is projected to reach $19.2 billion by 2014, up from $15.8 billion in fiscal 2009.”

Late last month, Egyptian police raided the offices of 17 so-called “pro-democracy and human rights groups.” Among them were the U.S.-based International Republican Institute (IRI), Freedom House (FH) and the National Democratic Institute (NDI). All of these organizations are heavily funded by the U.S. State Department and are used to keep political opposition groups in line with western foreign policy ambitions.

In reaction, the U.S. State Department called the raids “inconsistent with the bilateral cooperation we have had over many years” and urged Egyptian authorities to immediately halt “harassment” of non-governmental organization staff. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland even went so far as to say that military aid could be difficult to push through Congress if the situation didn’t improve.

Wow! I guess the U.S. doesn’t have as much control over the Egyptian government as we originally thought, right?…WRONG! That’s what they want you to think. This is just more smoke and mirrors. These raids would not have happened without first getting the green light—or direct orders—from the U.S.

All of these NGO’s have out served their purpose in Egypt and needed a viable exit strategy—and they got one. The U.S. has the Egyptians right where they want them and cannot afford to have loose cannons—that they trained—change directions against a long planned objective. You can be sure that there isn’t a white face among any of those arrested. These were expendable Egyptian “flower children” whose services were no longer needed.

Notice that the raids came just before the elections?  This is a strong indication that there truly is a confluence of interests between the Brotherhood and the ruling military generals. They didn’t want interference from secular activists (drunk on DEMOCRACY!!) who might get the bright idea of stirring up trouble or monitoring election results—which is precisely the kind of activity promoted by the NDI, FH and IRI. 

The activists have been growing increasingly suspicious of a Brotherhood/military alliance in recent days. Here’s what one of them told an AP reporter recently:

“The military wants a safe return to its past life away from the limelight and with its privileges and prestige, and the Islamists want power. The two have a deal that’s at everyone else’s expense.”

That pretty much sums it up. We tried to warn you…but you just wouldn’t listen. Your precious NGO’s done sold ya down da river. Now it’s now time for the Muslim Brotherhood to take the reigns. You thought Mubarak was bad? Get ready for some pain freedom fighters!

Today we get this story from Haaretz:

“The Muslim Brotherhood gave the United States assurances regarding the maintaining of Egypt’s peace deal with Israel, a top U.S. official said on Thursday, despite recent comments by party leaders claiming that the 1979 treaty did not bind Cairo’s new regime.”

The comments they refer to are from the Brotherhood’s head deputy, Dr Rashad Bayoumi, who said “We will not recognize Israel under any circumstances; we are talking about an occupation entity and a criminal enemy.”

Holy smoke! You don’t hear this kind of talk from Syria’s Assad, yet he’s the one getting his butt kicked!

Meanwhile, U.S. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland (there she is again) dismissed Bayoumi’s comments and said, “I would say that it is one member of the Muslim Brotherhood. We have had other assurances from the party with regard to their commitment not only to universal human rights, but to the international obligations that the Government of Egypt has undertaken.”

Nuland’s defense of the Brotherhood is a godsend to the Zionists and certain to get a lot of play in the Israeli and pseudo-conservative press. I can just here it now: “Obama has thrown Israel under the bus—again!”…and…“The U.S. has turned its back on Israel—again!”

They’ll drone on and on about how U.S. policy towards Egypt is putting Israel’s security at risk and how Obama’s advisors are missing the warning signs that will ultimately lead to a confrontation. But that’s precisely the plan. In reality, Israel needs the Muslim Brotherhood and the violent rhetoric from some of its members. Israel has designs on reoccupying the Sinai. They can’t justify it so long as there is a peace treaty in place. They need a provocation…and believe me…they’ll get one as soon as the Muslim Brotherhood gets the O.K. from the C.I.A.

The cozy relationship between the Muslim Brotherhood and the West goes back decades. In his book “Sleeping with the Devil: How Washington Sold Our Soul for Saudi Crude,” Former CIA officer Robert Baer details how this relationship developed during the Cold War:

“The White House looked on the Brothers as a silent ally against (what else) communism. This covert action started in the 1950’s with the Dulles Brothers—Allen at the CIA and John Foster at the State Department—when they approved Saudi Arabia’s funding of Egypt’s Brothers against Nasser.”

“The logic of the Cold War led to one conclusion: “If Allah agreed to fight on our side, fine. If Allah decided political assassination was permissible, that was fine too, so long as no one talked about it in polite company.”

“Like any other truly covert action, this one was strictly off the books. There was no CIA finding, no memorandum of notification to Congress. Not a penny came out of the Treasury to fund it. In other words, no record. All the White House had to do was give a wink and a nod to countries harboring the Muslim Brothers.”

“As Tom Twetten said, the enemy of my enemy is always my friend. It’s an ironclad rule in the Middle East.”

This relationship still exists today and is alive and well in Egypt, Syria, Libya, Yemen, etc. The Brotherhood is the perfect face that the West wants to put on Islam. They’re violent, loud and crazy—and though they claim to be Muslim—all of their leaders have served an apprenticeship with the Wahhabis in Saudi Arabia.

And in case you didn’t know, Wahhabism is a perversion of Islam that is despised by Sunni and Shia alike. It was hatched in the 18th century by a Donmeh Jew by the name of Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab (whose grandfather was Tjen Shulman, a member of the Jewish community of Basra, Iraq). Wahhabism has far more in common with the Jewish Talmud than it does to the Koran. Call it Judeo-Islam if you will, much in the same way we refer to Christian Zionism as Judeo-Christianity.

Putting the Muslim Brotherhood in charge of Egypt and calling that country Islamic would be the equivalent of putting the notorious MS 13 Mexican Central American street gang in charge of the U.S. and calling it Catholic.

It’s a nightmare in the making, but a dream come true for the U.S. and Israel. They took down Egypt with out really trying. No boots on the ground…no wasted ammo. They’ve done it before. Like Robert Baer says in the aforementioned book concerning the U.S. funding of the Brotherhood to fight the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan:

“Washington has always prided itself with fighting wars on the cheap. If success was a high Soviet body count per dollar, then the Muslim Brothers were a fabulous bargain.”

So, Israel firster Mitt Romney won the Iowa caucus? Go figure. Do you think this statement had anything to do with it?:

“I will travel to Israel on my first foreign trip. I will reaffirm as a vital national interest Israel’s existence as a Jewish state. I want the world to know that the bonds between Israel and the United States are unshakable.”

Or how about this one:

“I will enhance our deterrent against the Iranian regime by ordering the regular presence of aircraft carrier task forces, one in the Eastern Mediterranean and one in the Persian Gulf region. I will begin discussions with Israel to increase the level of our military assistance and coordination. And I will again reiterate that Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon is unacceptable.”

I could showcase a few more examples of where Romney’s allegiances truly lie…but what’s the point?

I guess we should count our blessings. Though Ron Paul came in third, it’s still an impressive victory when you consider that Iowa is an evangelical stronghold, whose voter support for the state of Israel takes precedence over any concern they might have for their own country.

Without a doubt, Paul performed better than any other candidate. He definitely made the case that he was the best suited to deliver this nation from the unsound fiscal policies of the Treasury Department and the privately owned Federal Reserve. But that was obviously a secondary concern for the voters in Iowa. Paul had to be defeated because he stuck true to his principals, and made it clear that he would not send more of our children to die in yet another Jewish war of survival.

How else would you explain why Rick Santorum came in second? He wasn’t going anywhere until he revealed on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that he would demand that Iran’s nuclear sites be dismantled, and then launch an attack against them after they inevitably refused.

Of course Michelle Bachman and Newt Gingrich are even more devoted to Israel. So why did they finish behind Paul? The voters apparently had what alcoholics call a “moment of clarity,” and realized that neither of them stood a chance of defeating Obama. Bachman is a blithering idiot who can barely spell America (let alone serve its best interests), and the serial adulterer/hypocrite Gingrich has way too much baggage.

Speaking of Newt, didn’t he just get through weeping over his long dead mother? Poor guy…now he has something new to cry about. And I would wager that these tears are a lot more genuine. That’s right, Newt! You ain’t foolin’ anybody. We know the only thing you have an emotional attachment to is your political career and the Zionist masters who fund it.

Remember last June, when Newt urged the Jewish Republican Coalition in Beverly Hills to “never underestimate the hold that Israel has on the American heart.”

Speak for yourself, Newt. So far as America is concerned: while I agree that Israel certainly does have a hold on one of our organs, I would argue that it resides a bit further south. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu certainly has his fingers clenched around that organ, and uses it as a steering mechanism to further his criminal agenda. Don’t take my word for it. Back in 2001, he bragged that, “I know what America is. America is a thing you can move very easily, move it in the right direction.”

Nothing has changed, and the Iowa caucus proves it. It’s not just media manipulation and vote fraud that guides that vote. Iowa is a microcosm of the 70 million Christian Zionists, evangelicals and other dispensationalists who represent the most coveted voting block in America.

These psychotics believe that their unwavering support for the state of Israel is the “golden ticket” they need to gain access through the pearly gates. They’re counting on a catastrophic war in the Middle East to hasten the return of Jesus Christ, who will then descend from the clouds and gather them up in one fel swoop. Once deposited safely in heaven, Christ can then go about his business wiping out the rest of his creation.

For decades, false prophets like Jerry Falwell; Hal Lindsey; Pat Robertson; Tim Lehay and John Hagee have all promised that the return of Christ is just around the corner. But since none of these prophecies ever come to pass, Christian Zionists have grown tired of waiting and believe it’s time to take matters into their own hands. They figure if they can stoke the flames of Armageddon themselves, it just might send up the right smoke signal to get the good Lord’s ass in gear.

That’s why the war rhetoric and saber rattling against Iran by all of these GOP hopefuls is so appealing to them. Who else would be attracted to a presidential candidate who promises to take their nation to war if elected? To the rest of us, the thought of heading into yet another hot conflict is nothing less than horrific. But the Christian Zionists don’t care because they’re confident that they won’t be around to see it. By the time the feces hits the oscillating wind generator, they’ll be watching the action from a ringside seat in heaven while toasting marshmallows and singing “Kumbaya.”

And what is to become of all the Jewish people that these evangelical nut jobs claim to love so dearly? Let’s not kid ourselves. These people are certainly no friends of the Jews. Their doctrine is ultimately hostile to Judaism, and requires that all Jews must convert to Christianity or perish along with the rest of us. So why do we often find collaboration between Christian Zionists, and some segments of the Jewish community, who might otherwise find this kind of “convert or die” theology offensive?

Another quote that is commonly attributed to Netanyahu is, “My opinion of Christian Zionists? They’re scum. But don’t tell them that. We need all the useful idiots we can get right now.”

While I have a hard time believing that Netanyahu would be so careless as to say something like that in public, it can’t be far from how some Jews feel, particularly those who rely on the billions of American dollars we send Israel each year, along with the weapons and manpower required to continue these wars that are being waged on their behalf.

Yes…Christian Zionists are the useful idiots who facilitate Israel’s criminal activity, and they’re also the one’s who are taking this nation into another war. They’ll get the mushroom clouds they want, but they won’t be watching them from heaven. Discounting their dispensationalist fantasy of an end-times scenario, what does war with Iran really mean? Forget about $500 per barrel oil. That’s the least of our worries. War with Iran means war with Russia and China. War with Iran means World War III.

The Russian Ministry of Defense recently issued a bulletin to PM Putin and President Medvedev stating that China’s President Hu has now agreed “in principal” that the only way to stop US led western aggression is through “direct and immediate military action” and that Hu has ordered his Naval Forces to “prepare for warfare.”

That dovetails with a statement from Major General Zhao Zhangzhong of the Chinese National Defense University, who said that China “would not hesitate to protect Iran” even if it led to a third World War, and that not hesitating to fight a third World War would be entirely for domestic political needs. China currently buys large quantities of oil from Iran and is their third largest trading partner.

As for Russia? On December 18, 2011, Russian Centre for Socio-Political Studies Director Vladimir Yevseyev insisted that Russia would stop any military attack against Iran, adding that that “a military attack against Tehran will be a serious problem for Russia, because Caucasus and Central Asia are strategic regions for Russia.”

He’s not the only Russian sounding the alarm. According to Press TV, “Last week, Russian Ambassador to the UN Vitaly Churkin vehemently criticized any plans of attacking Iran, describing the measure as “a very dangerous scenario” which could lead to a “regional catastrophe.”

Regional my ass! We’re talking about WWIII, folks—brought to you by the same people who brought us the last two World Wars! So much for the claim that “Israel is a strategic ally of the US.”

Don’t you just love clichés? The hardcore supporters of the criminal Israeli state certainly do. How many times have you heard these one-liners recited ad nouseum?

“Israel is the only democracy is the Middle East.”

“You can’t trade land for peace.”

“We have to prevent another Holocaust.”

And then there’s my favorite: “Israel has a right to exist.” Does it? “No country has a right to exist,” proclaimed former CIA heavyweight Michael Scheuer during a 2010 C-SPAN interview. “The United States doesn’t have a right to exist. Britain doesn’t have a right to exist. Bolivia doesn’t have a right to exist! Countries exist if they can get along with their neighbors, if they have a thriving economy and a social system which is equitable. If countries have a right to exist, we would be resurrecting the Soviet Union, the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem, and every other country that has gone down the tubes.”

That’s one way to put it. But I would argue that not only does Israel have no right to exist…it doesn’t exist. At least not according to International law. Why? Because although the UN General Assembly recommended the creation of a Jewish state in Palestine back in 1947, it was never ratified in the Security Council. Israel, therefore, is an illegitimate nation.

Furthermore, “when we think of Israel’s right to exist, we often think of the 1967 borders as though somehow it is written that when you discuss two states, the 1967 borders are what we are to discuss,” says human rights attorney Lamis Deek of Al-Awda New York. “Nowhere is that written. It is an arbitrary date picked on the date of another occupation. It could have been ‘48 or ‘47 or 2001. There’s nowhere that it says that we have to stick to the green line or the 1967 borders.”

Of course these are all legal arguments. Would I be forced to change my tune if Israel did obtain formal recognition by the UN? Certainly not. No outside entity has the moral authority to govern the indigenous population. Only the Palestinians have the right to control land that their ancestors have inhabited for thousands of years.

Anyway, back to clichés. It seems like every year or so, the Israeli Hasbara machine introduces a new phrase that is then picked up and recited by journalists and politicians. One of the more recent ones is that “President Obama threw Israel under the bus” when he recommended that Israel resume peace talks based upon 1967 borders. That really got the Israeli loyalists up in arms.

Of course Obama later backpedaled and proved to be the biggest obstacle to Palestinian statehood. “Peace is hard work,” Obama declared to the UN General Assembly last September. “Peace will not come through statements and resolutions at the United Nations. If it were that easy, it would have been accomplished by now.”

As if that weren’t bad enough, he had to get down on his knees and grovel before his Zionist masters. “America’s commitment to Israel’s security is unshakable,” said Obama. “Our friendship with Israel is deep and enduring.”

Obama certainly has not thrown Israel under the bus…but he should. As a matter of fact, Israel should be thrown from a moving train. After all, Israel is the engineer behind the controls of this runaway locomotive, and our politicians are the ones shoveling coal into the boiler.

Isn’t it high time we got our asses out of the caboose, jumped a few freight cars, and took control of this thing before it jumps the tracks?
